NextHome named top US real estate franchise

NextHome logo regularNextHome has been named the top real estate franchise by Franchise Business Review for 2020. According to Inman, NextHome has snagged third place overall in the Franchise Business Review for 2020, with Kona Ice earning the top spot on the overall top 50 list and MaidPro earning second place.

Franchise Business Review is a market research for all franchising industries to be studied in its satisfaction and performance.

“Of all the awards we’ve received, this is truly the one I’m most proud of,” NextHome CEO James Dwiggins told Inman in an email. “To be ranked the no. 3 overall franchise in the country, and no. 1 in the category of the real estate based upon honest member feedback, means we’re providing incredible value to our brokers and agents. We launched NexHome in January of 2015, so this is just the beginning for us.” NextHome CEO James Dwiggins told Inman.

“Our goal over the next few years is to be ranked the #1 overall franchise in the country,” Dwiggins added.

The Franchise Business Review determines rankings by surveying 27,500 franchisees across 300 North American brands. All Franchisees were asked 33 questions in which regards to their experience and satisfactions regarding different areas of the franchise. The questions were based on the training, support, operations, relations and opportunities each individual had with the franchise.

We are proud to announce that NextHome is the Top Real Estate Franchise in 2020.

Meet JP MacFadyen, New Executive Director

Last week, JP MacFadyen succeeded Elizabeth “EB” Brooks as Executive Director. Brooks will transition into a new role as Founder and will help guide the Park throughout its opening and into its first operational year.
Prior to joining Moncus Park over two years ago as Operations Director, MacFadyen worked as an Operations Engineer at NASA, a Supply Chain Consultant and Project Manager to various Fortune 500 companies, as well as owning and operating a local business, Great Harvest Bread Co.
“I appreciate both EB and the board’s confidence in me, and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to serve the community. With the opening of Moncus Park approaching, I’m excited to take on this challenge of transitioning from building the Park to operating it as an accessible and cultural resource for our community,” MacFadyen said. “I’m especially grateful to EB for her guidance. Her efforts over the last 15 years have been instrumental in getting Moncus Park to the place it is today.”
We’re so grateful for EB’s leadership thus far and look forward to the future with JP as our new Executive Director.

Construction on the IBERIABANK, First Horizon Amphitheater has begun. This 3,000+ person open-air stage and event lawn will host many different types of events throughout the year. Everything from live music, movies in the park, live theater, dance performances, private events, and even exercise classes are all possible on this new stage!
Fun fact: It’s also hurricane proof! The Amphitheater’s foundation is equipped with four 12-foot long pylons cemented into the ground making it able to sustain hurricane force winds.

Who will make it to the end?

NextHome has always been a company that focuses on family, community and collaboration for a better today and tomorrow.

Our NextHome Cutting Edge Realty office decided that with the crazy year we had in 2020, it would be a fantastic idea to put our jobs aside and get to know each other better. Between pulling color bandanas to see which team you were on, to getting ready the morning of and having our game faces on, and finally the games begin. Toss the ball, number madness, draw the picture and bowling were the games we played together. The laughter in the room, working together to gather points and finally celebrating for the win is just one reason why we loved this event so much. BTW that was just day one of the excitement.

Day two of the team building event was solving a mystery around Lafayette. This day consisted of gathering our teams and heading downtown, creating a name that represents us, dressing up as detectives and walking/running around the city finding clues to help us solve this mystery.  Solving this mystery was nothing but fun… but walking 3-4 miles was great exercise!!
